Has anyone met Death/Grim Reaper Lady yet?
I was using fast travel today and ran into a random event at night labeled as "A Woman stands with a serene expression on her face." When I selected to stop and talk, the game said "She stares at you with a piercing gaze." Once I loaded in, it was a normal looking old woman with a lantern humming a tune. I could talk to her, but there was no name/npc tag that showed when hovering over her with the cursor.

After engaging in conversation with her, she mentions how she's like a problem solver, and that people come to her with all sorts of problems. And if you choose to ask her what she means, she tells Henry that she's been by his side multiple times and asks why he's never come to talk to her. Asking her what she means again, she then refers to Henry as "Henry of Skalitz", which confuses Henry. Her final remark before she leaves is that "Skalitz kept me busy for a while after."

I tried following her and seeing if she had anything else to say, but couldn't interact with her any further, she just kept walking and humming. I ran into her on the road next to the Traskowitz Cemetery at night, dunno if it's a static spawn or something. Judging from her dialogue and weird behavior, Im guessing she's the Grim Reaper or something? Anyone else found this lady before?

Hello there,

Simple as that:

She is an Angel. ;)

Think about this point /perspective of view.
Has nothing to do with specific Grim Reaper or Death or even any demonic energy.

According the Kabbalah an Angel is just a Messenger, sent by G"d(haShem) who has no own will but that one from haShem itself. So an Angel will strictly follow the orders of G"d and by doing so, any Angel or "Messenger" will also carry out the order to bring death among and upon humanty. And for this, any Angel can turn into anything - but not as they want or would like to, this "willpower" is given and controlled by G"d only. Means: Women, Men, Children and even Animals, everything is possible..

They can even get into Rocks, Trees or whatever needed, to assure and complish their Mission, given my haShem.

Just wanted to mention that.

Personaly I think the DEVS of WARHORSE wanted to bring in this aspect of Theology into KC:D2, due Religion and Theology was a very high topic at this time. :)

Therefore I also think that in Christianity there is a pretty similar topic or point of view on this. The Islam has a quite similar topic on that as we do. With the Djin/Din etc.

Have a nice game, folks!
Greetings from,

PAL

yeap I already met her at dawn while waiting to help the gravedigger in the morning for some saltpeter
I'm pretty sure she's not the devil or anything related to evil spirits; quite the contrary. I think she's reincarnation of Virgin Mary.

Mainly because she mentions that she knows Henry and his past, people "come to her with many problems" (as usually people pray to Saints etc when they are facing problems), and that she was busy during Skalitz raid, as in people were praying to Christ and Virgin Mary to salvage their souls or save them from the wrath of Cummans.
Gasp, it’s an oracle.

Only woman random event I’ve come across is the lady in red trying to scam her way into finding a rich husband.

I just did! I finished the game yesterday. Is it related?
At first I thought for a second she was a death doula i.e. someone who comforts the dying as they pass, but when it became clear she knew who Henry was, that's when it became obvious she was intended to be a supernatural being.

It's interesting that this encounter doesn't seem to occur in a purposeful manner. If I were putting off a quest where I ran a considerable chance of dying, then this would make more sense. Instead, all I need to do right now is tell the miller about the saltpeter pit.

It being completely random is odd, and rather enchanting. I hope I see her again, I adore any plot device that forces us to reckon with mortality.

Just found her, she reminded me the strange man from RDR https://reddead.fandom.com/wiki/Strange_Man

Just met her at night, like 3am north of Sigismunds camp near a bed/camp at an intersection. I followed her north on the main road off the map. Nothing else you can do except listen to her hum i guess.

Got her at night during fast travel.
Followed her until the path ahead had someone traveling the road - a Mercenary. Killed them. Lady Death passed right by them, no reaction, nothing. Makes me question if she's really death vs. just a simple half-baked rando encounter without anything more attached to it.

I hate that reading through this, it just gave me more and more chills about this event, I have not seen it yet, but now I can't help but imagine her right behind Henry with every kill. Never able to see her because first person view, but always there, or just off screen in the woods, watching as you fight desperately struggle for your life.
♥♥♥♥, I can't stop feeling chills down my spine because of this.

Is it possible to meet her in the Kutenberg map? I've never encountered her before.

I just ran into her in Kuttenberg just north of Bylany. I don't think there's anything more to it beyond her being a sort of embodiment of death. I think they wanted to do something like the Strange Man in Red Dead Redemption, although I'll admit Rockstar did a better job with it. I thought they wouldn't include anything paranormal but I have so far run into a spirit of a dead monk and the Grim Reaper apparently, wonder if there's anything else.

The guy is no real monk, he's just wearing monk clothes to play jokes with random people.
After the quest you can find him in Miskowitz and he gives you a little exp for your speech skill.

You just had to spoil it.

Yeah just like in KCD1 there's nothing directly supernatural, but a few things that can appear supernatural which suits well the atmosphere of superstitious medieval world
