Map feels kinda empty

exploring have felt very unrewarding for me so far. havent really been able to find much. odd bandits sculking about. no camps that isnt part of a quest. in the first game i loved hunting for cuman ears and clearing camps looting and getting good armor. but now even visitng a new village feels very meh, as there is almost nothing in any of the villages. the whole zone feels like just a proloague/tutorial area imo.

If Daniel V. wasn't so fixated on perfecting the "gay" scene, he could have filled the world a bit better to make it feel lived in, such as trash or items around the world to be collected, more people walking around. It definitely feels barren and like a waste of time walking by foot.

I get what you mean. It is not filled with dungeons or camps to raid. But as I love to explore a lot I found many little stuff. A grave there, skeleton next to a tree with a cool sword, hidden area with lots of alcohol, poacher camps. I guess thew bigger second map will have more stuff to find as this one is mostly wilderness.

But personally I like it like this. I was tired of games putting POI every 10 meters and loot lying everywhere. Stuff I find here feels earned and special.

First map I'll agree. Haven't gotten to the 2nd map yet. But yeah when you come to some hovel and you can't chat to the residents it feels bad.

I think people forget how empty KCD1 is especially once you ignore the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shrine spam everywhere. This isn't RDR2 or Witcher 3. I mean I like KCD but I think its extremely over-hyped. I mean look at the tourney DLC for KCD1 what is that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage?? In Blood and Wine the whole Tourney camp grounds and more is just part of the whole of Toussaint map. You go into a little square and fight 3 guys then get a piece of armour now repeat 10 times, How people didn't complain about that is crazy. It should have added a huge Tourney ground outside of Rattay to the east where you could bet on others dueling and partake in jousting and festivities you know like a real Tourney instead you stand in a tiny box and 4 people watch you fight FUN!!!!

It's rooted in reality so there are no enemies randomly spawned everywhere. Maybe DA Wokeguard would be more your taste ?
