Remote Play/Stream - Controller doesn’t work

I’m streaming from my pc, to my steam deck on my TV, and the controller doesn’t work. Still works on every other game flawlessly.

Anyone run into a fix for this?

No fix, but I also have this. Runs pretty decently on the Steam Deck its self though, so maybe skip the PC if you really need too play right now?

I've run into this a few times. If wireless can you connect controller to PC and then play in the other room lol. Not ideal but it's been working for me

Same problem here trying to stream on Steam Deck and no controller recognised whatsoever, but yeah the Steam Deck runs it very well natively ;p

Same here. The Xbox controller doesn’t work in Remote Play, whether wired or via Bluetooth. Warhorse, please fix this!

I have same issue in Steam Link. I try the Player support’s answer( disabled the steam input, and disabled the PS controller support option ) but it didn’t fixed. And other games work well( KCD1, Elden ring, Resident Evil 4 and etcs )

After days and days i think i got the solution (For me, at least)
I have an xbox wireless Bluetooth controller that it wont get recognized by the game until i decided to deactivate and reactivate the bluetooth on my pc (While ingame) and Voilà, controller found and ready to be used.

I have a wireless xbox controller and remote play to apple tv box. I was twice able to temporarily use the controller. No idea what I did the first time, but it stopped working overnight. Then just now, i was able to get the game to recognize after disabling controller steam input (in steam library right click on the game to bring up properties, go to controller tab and you can select enable/disable steam input). This allowed me to play for something like 10 minutes, when suddenly, the game just stopped recognizing the controller - right in the middle of playing/using it. Oh and also I had to restart the game twice cause the first time I got the controller recognized, I lost the sound. Then after a restart I got both....temporarily. I have no clue what's going on but seems to be within this game - this bug does not affect any of my other games.

Edit: I have a wireless controller connected to my host pc. When that turns off, the controller I'm using for remote play also turns off.

Effectively cannot stream game to Steam Deck from PC, unless I use a community provided controller setup - which isn't the best experience.
