How to switch between dog and horse?

I got two pets: horse Pebbles and a dog Mutt. While pressing the "V" to whistle and call and animal my horse comes. How to call for a dog?

You just need to pick the right dialogue options with the horse and the dog to get the cutscenes. It's fine though because it is optional

By holding the button you use for whistle.
