Save Problems
Is the only way to save the game really by use of alcohol? It was saying you can save by sleeping in a bed but it dosent.
I get only a save after some mission progress here and there so far but sadly that means that i have to replay large parts of the game if i try something and fail.
Was playing the first game years ago and cant remember that this was such a big problem like now for me.

You can only sleep save in rented beds or those you own.

There are console commands to save without schnapps. Google them easily.
It saves if you sleep in an owned bed. Free one from blacksmith

It has to be a bed you have been given permission to sleep in. So an Inn where you have purchased 1 night (or more). I have had a Miller give me a room that I can sleep and save in. I have had a GameKeeper who gave me a haypile in his barn where I can sleep and save. There is probably another that I am forgetting.

I will say that I was having issues getting rooms in inns but I purchased some high Charisma clothing items from the tailor in that first town (took some gold though) and made them into one of my outfits and now instead of dismissing me out of hand they will usually let me stay since the outfit raises my Charisma by 10 or more points over my standard armor. .
the save system is ♥♥♥♥.
if you really want to save without using cheats (console commands), using the alcohol and when your not near a bed you own you have to use the "save and quit" option.....

yeah a game in 2025 where to save when you want it returns you to desktop and forces you to reload the entire game LOL :steamfacepalm:

p.s. save and quit only has one slot so if your quests bug out (which they do) then your totally fooked

Wasnt knowing that it only saves at beds i own but that answers my question, thanks.
The save system is indeed a bit weird, i know why they have done it this way but in the end it adds more boring content replay then it raises the fun. I never use cheats at a game and think i must deal with it somehow.
