Lockpicking makes me want to jump off a cliff in real life.
I get that in KCD II you are not meant to be a jack-of-all-trades hero from the very start of the game, which I genuinely like, but the lockpicking is a complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and a poorly designed mechanic. The lock labeled as easy took me 16 lockpicks which are 10 coins each and guess what - I still did not unlock it. I get that the game aims for realism, but there is no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way that someone who is at least capable of using a lockpick and understanding the mechanism of a lock would break 16 lockpicks and not get past the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechanism. I love the game so far, but some of the mechanics like lockpicking is sucking all the fun out of the game for me. Why would I search for all those points of interest if I cannot get the main treasure which is locked behind a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mini-game? Just so that I have to get back there once I pump levels into lockpicking and basically bruteforce it through powerleveling? It's just not fun and I genuinely think that the wheel should spin slower or the minigame should be reworked completely. I have genuine no desire to continue playing after ♥♥♥♥ like that.

Did you do the lockpick training at the Mill in Semine?

This game is just frustration sprinkled with fun.
*insert Palpatine meme here*

I did not, because I went to blacksmith instead.
The devs flipped it for this second game.
Pickpocket-ing is much easier.

Plus you can steal their keys then unlock the chests.
took me 40min to do my 1st lockpick easy after that i know it works it takes me maybe 1-2 try . now most of time 1st try. but ya i wanted to die 1st time idid it . i was so mad haha
Jump off a cliff in real life?!
Really?

I don't believe they have the game, must this nonsense are from people that never play KCD2!
Man it's not hard to understand sheesh, have no issues only with medium, but I'm under-trained. Dunno what you complaining, find the golden spot, rotate the lock and follow the spot with your mouse... done

its not hard to understand concept hardest part is to actually pull it once you rottate . if you low level lock breaks within few tries so. guess if you go to miller and prarctice none stop on that chest you level up and can then get perks make it way easier . problem is early parts

ya as you level up you allowed to do more errors . i think its near impossible to have perfect rotation eventually as you level up its become easier .

I suppose you don't understand the lock mechanism.
My only gripe is that mouse sensitivity when lockpicking is too low after the first game
