For whom the bell tolls is the most painful experience ever
Make sure you do every single side quest before you go to the wedding or youll get soft locked out of speech checks and have to try and stealth this mission with a broken stealth system. Its brutal.

I just had to sneak up to the tower, meet sir thomas but then when i tried to sneak back down the rock throwing to distract guards stopped working on the guard blocking the only way back down who doesnt move otherwise, so then I just had to run past all the guards after me, make the potion and then run back to sir thomas past the guards again where it goes to a cutscene and ends the mission.

Theyll need to fix it with a patch. Theres like 3 different ways to do the mission properly but you can get locked out of every single one of them with skill checks. Its pretty broken.

lmao gj i kinda tried that too

but the rock thing works just
you need to slowly start going down the stairs
and keep throwing the rock
and eventually when you get close enough
it will actually work
Mmmhmm this was some absolute pain to unknowingly walk into. Granted the kind of difficulty curveball I'd expect having played the first game. But still it was not a pleasant experience going through this mission unprepared.
I just finished that one and rather enjoyed it. Didn't feel like I had to use any charisma at all. Just some sneaking around, some alchemy, and some rock throwing.

well the sneaking is something that really blindsides you if you are not really skilled for stealth it's really painfull especially the second time after the torture
knockouts/stealth kills are a coinflip and most of the time dont work

While sneakin you can throw rocks to distract enemies i dont think they tell you that...

I would imagine doin it without would be horrid xD

No I know that i said it in my post but it broke. After I'd used it on someone once it stopped working on them again on the way back so I had to just run past everyone
There's a guard grumbling about food who the rock throwing does not seem to work on and he sees you with eyes on the back of his head if you try to sneak close enough to get a better rock throw. Mission is broken and not enough time. Didn't take the charcoal from the blacksmith (thought it'd be stealing) but ended up being a crucial ingredient? Too late once I was at the alchemy station. So having wasted a ton of time the only option was to go play dice for a Rosary, which I only knew was an option by Googling, but I don't have enough Grochen to even play. I wasted all that time doing the job quests for nothing. Guess you're supposed to steal and sneak to beat this one and play it through 3 times to know all the quirks.

I feel your pain.
Its full of bugs and a pain.

I finally managed it. But yeah, I stopped playing for a week because of this horrid quest and the outcome of it, is also not really pleasant.
i feel you man, i hated the part in the forest. the keep wasn't too bad, because the guards are pretty much blind unless facing you. can stand at corners in hallways and sneak by before they turn to face you.

In the forest, mutiple opponents patrol the same path, all over the place, so it's tough to get through. Literally a meat grinder scenario. Near the end, you can just sprint your way to victory, though. The cutscene will save you.
Indeed it was XD I had to do multiple reloads so I know which path to take - the quickest lol. But yeah, I think this is one of those quests that has multiple ways to do! Still, I think the monastery in KCD1 was the most paintful for me haha
i actually found the quest rather enjoyable and did not have to sneak at all i think.

Just did it yesterday so i remember it well. was carrying coal, then making the Horseshow, did not go to the gallows but helped the kitchen mistress instead picking the lock. On the way back i met the chamberlain who told me about his health troubles and he gave me permission to enter the west part of the castle to brew some medicine for him.

After giving him the medicine i was allowed to access the tower and only had to make the fever medicine for thomas to finish the quest.

I had no issues with this part. Moved the sacks where they needed to be. Helped the blacksmith. Helped the cook, helped the whatever dude who leads you later into a ♥♥♥♥ storm and got free access to Thomas in the tower. When escaping the fort later on in the quest line, the early half of it before meeting dude man and rescuing him is easy. Stick to the far right of the area and go wide around then cut through the cliff faces to find dude.
I am in second part of game already, but there are so many stealth stuff, it kind of pisses me off, the game is still good, but it reminds me of ghost of tsushima when they want u to sneak around as samurai
