For Whom the Bell Tolls (spoilers)

The main quest forces you to trespass to the top of a chapel to talk to Thomas. I managed to sneak up there but you can't sneak back down because the guard blocking the stairway doesn't respond to rock throws.
That means I have to knock him out and fight my out.
Is there a specific way to get out of the chapel or is this just jank breaking the main quest?

Same issue here. I can't even choke the guard out. He always resists, then kicks my arse. I must have tried this a dozen times. Just rage quit. This is in danger of becoming a hard lock for me. As tough as KCD1 was, the difficulty was organic, and you normally had alternative methods to progress. This is something else, and it isn't fun.

You can get to Thomas legitimately quite easily. In this mission, it's just better to not sneak unless asked clearly by the quest (and it happens only to go make the potion).

The easy path solution:
- There's a lockpick on the shelf in the forge
- Talk to Karah then the priest about the rosace
- Talk to the guy in red who prays in the central court, he will lead you to Thomas

With these information, you're almost done with the whole chapter.

Ok so not a solution, just a workaround.
And that's too late when you've already snuck in, you can't load a save, and the mechanics you used to get in won't let you get out.

I talked to the guy in red praying, i tried every choice for the conversation and nothing helps. And what priest? There is no priest in sight.

They dont work for me for some reason, the only time they work if i throw one right on his head. But than he just turns around and goes back to his duty.

I made a potion for the chamberlain's illness and he just gives you access. lol
