random crash
someone is experience this? I just cant enjoy the game, because there is random crash... and this game dont let you manually save.. so im losing a lot of minutes some times.

Same yeah, and I've been in contact with some people on Discord experiencing the same issue.
For me it always crash during dialogues, and i'm stuck at the first tavern after the prologue because the game crashes, whatever i do. I've tried reinstalling the game, reinstalling my drivers, playing in low, turn off scaling... it just crashes.
Same here. First tavern there still crashes

Lots of random crashes, I have now given up trying to play as I have to keep redoing the same things over and over again. Its like a bloody Groundhog Day game.

Same is happening to me! Is very annoying… this is why we need manual saving

Same, no reason. Game runs super smooth. Then boom hangs and game crash. Can send report. but thats it. Loose progress.... (eventho i started over 5x)

Great idea to not allow manual saving of an unstable game

Well, i have now tried so many fixes, it went from random crashes to desktop. to completly crashing my pc. needing a hard reboot.

Doing a bit of googling, seems cryengine is a piece of garbage, and known for having serious shader problems. Reading on starfield forums, (Same ngine) and was never fixed.

So it seems its a bunch of money wasted, as i got to play it for a bunch of hours before the crashes started happoning.

FYI "Save + Quit" is a manual save. Although that does not fix your problem of course.

My game crashes every time in the dialogue at the breakfast in the forest's house.

i disable hyperthreading in the bios and now it didn't crash anymore.

Here what was in the log after crash:

Glad it helped for you, it did nothing for me. same crash, same error. (i have same error as you) even tried limiting the game to only use 4 or 8 cores. Same random crash.

I know that, but it close the game completely is really annoying… and we you going to enter again the loading screen take time too

Having the same problem, similar error message, crashes every 15-20 minutes.

5800x3d
6700 xt with drivers 24.12.1
32 gb ram
Windows 11 with 24h2, tried without it, doesn't make a difference.
All drivers are up to date, cpu, bios, gpu, windows, etc.

I just started having this issue too, was playing a few hours ago and wanted to hop back on after dinner and now it does the initial loading screen into the main menu then just crashes and I can't find a reason why. It has never been buggy for me or crashed before 12 hours in
For me there is a VRAM memory leak. VRAM usage grows until it hits max and then I crash. So now I just watch it and if I am getting close...I save and quit. For my GPU it takes three to four hours to hit this point though. So by then I want a break anyway.
