The Metacritic user reviews
None of the negative reviews are above a 2. Not a single 3 or 4. Giving a game a 2, 1, let alone a 0 because it is a buggy mess on launch (which this doesn't seem to be, just buggy, not an outright mess) is a bit silly, which tells me most of these probably aren't actually about the bugs...they are review bombing over "woke". Several of them even say things like "the game is actually good, the but developers are woke!"
Doing some Quick Maths™, without those review bombs, using just the reviews that are actually reviewing the game, the average score goes from 8.7 to 9+, probably about a 9.1.
That is a smashing success. Almost no games get a 9+ from users, even games people absolutely love like Warcraft 3:TfT, Diablo 2:LoD, Baldur's Gate 2, Xenogears barely crack 9, getting 9-9.2, and those were before review bombing over socio-politics.

Go the tiniest bit "woke", except not really at all, and make a quality game...turns out people love it.
Seethe, chuds. Move on to your next target.

Last I heard, she and Dr. Lecter moved away together. Haven't heard anything about them since Italy.
tbh i never liked metacritics for multiple reasons.

1: you can review without even having played the game.
2: a number system is good in theory if people know how to use it, but most people who like the game will just give it 10, and most people who hate it will give it 0.

Tons of people do, it's the go to aggregate that the industry still uses.

I usually ignore the 0's and the 10's, unless there are lots and lots of them, then I check if they are just people shilling or people hating. It is why I like 100 scale far more, almost nothing should get a 100, but lots of games can get to 92, 95 even.
