Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Looks like for alchemy there's a misleading aspect to boiling...
When you start and put the liquid in, pull the cauldron down onto the fire and let it start to a 'boil' level. So when it tells you to boil for X turns, you simply throw the ingredient in and turn it X times then pull the cauldron up to stop it from boiling.

The entire time I thought boiling = Hitting and spamming Q during the turns of the hourglass, but that actually 'overboil' the ingredient.

yes, it's something that takes a little skill and it's not a button mashing videogame.

Alchemy does not work as described in the game. It is sad to see same issue pop up in the sequel as the original had also massive issues with alchemy. I actually found it for myself that you can not use bellows to boil it faster but it took me a lot of tries, wasted materials and time.

Dude, you are a life saver. I was loosing my mind why Henry always commented "I didn't boil [herb name] long enough. After I stopped using bellows, everything went smoothly.
thanks for confirming what i was suspecting, though i expect there's a use case for the bellows then

The bellows speeds it up but I have no idea by how much.
