Game making Graphics Card run hot
I've turned everything down to "low", and my card can still hit damn near 80 C. 3080ti.

I'm using a 3080 and my GPU hovers around 65c - 70c. 80c is a perfectly acceptable temperature for full GPU load, 86c is when I'd start worrying, no damage will be done until it reaches around 90c where it has safe guards to protect itself.

How did you get your temp down? I'm even undervolting with MSI., with an FPS cap of 120 in Nvidia control panel.

I use DLSS quality and an FPS cap, I cap mine at around 78fps 1440p high with ultra textures and rendering distance., it's fluid enough and doesn't run my energy bill up like crazy.
My GPU sits at around 50 to 60% utilisation, I also use an undervolt.

So you set Nvidia control panel to do FPS at 78FPS?
Where do you set 1440p at?
I'm running 34" widescreen.
sounds like somethimg is not right with your card. I'm running a 3060 12GB in 1080p everything medium and I'm hitting 65-70°C with stable 60 fps

Yes, with Control Panel, 1440p can be set in the games Graphic settings, the game also has an FPS caps in the settings.

3080's can run hot, especially the cheaper models like the ventus.

Cap your frames, and worry less.
hmm odd
Holy crap, just bringing it down to 78 FPS instead of 120 was GREAT. Why 78? Did you look online and find that we can't see much past that? :)

and yes, my monitor is doing 3440 x 1440.
1440p, high, dlss quality
3070, 120 FPS
60 degrees gpu and 52 cpu
what?

Yeah had this issue with temps in the 80 degree celsius range and refunded.
Using a 3070 on 60 FPS but evidently something is up. Only game that seems to trigger the problem since most can run 120 FPS in the 60-70 degree range.

Yup, this is the first game that wanted to get into the 70's at 120fps.
78 seems to be good. I might move some stuff up from "low" in graphics now. :)

So wait, you refunded a game that utilizes your card fully? GPU's are meant to be used fully.
