Keyboard keys missing randomly (Possible Fix)
I experienced randomly that keys was missing and they came back to use with alt+tab to table and then clicking back to game.

Later I shut Win11 Sticky keys feature off, and seems so far this problem didn't appear again.
(Just for notice: This is "possible solution" because at same time I shut also Steam overlay from the game. And other unneeded keyboard based Win 11 features, so can't be so sure what I did, but it worked. I also restart computer before opening game again.)

How to find this Sticky keys option from win11:

Step 1: Windows + i

Step 2: Select Accessibility from the list of settings on the left, scroll to the bottom, and click Keyboard.

Step 3: You should see the option to enable or disable Sticky Keys right on top. Flip the Toggle to disable the feature.

Step4: Reboot Computer (Thanks to Slopey for noticing this)

Hope so this is helpful tip to people, because game is just awesome and it would be shame if playing it would not be possible because of sticky keys.

Also, failing a blacksmithing attempt, or after a chat interaction, also disabled the keyboard input unless you alt-tab.

Sticky keys is definitely off in Windows and I've checked that it doesn't reactive after multiple key presses.

EDIT - Although Windows said sticky keys was off, some keys were still being held, like Shift/Ctrl. Had to reboot windows, confirm it was still off, and it seems to be working now. So Reboot the machine after you check the sticky key settings.

Thank you for your message and adding more info to this issue. I hope that Key problem do not come back, it almost made game unplayable to me.

The game seems to think I'm constantly scrolling down with the mouse wheel even when I'm not, which prevents me from using other keys. I've tested this by going into the control bindings and attempting to change the controls.

The same happened to me a bug I had in the kingdom come 1
Still happens, sticky keys in win 11 keeps coming back once in a while but it is the fix I think. This is not isolated to KCD2 happens in Star Citizen as well for example but not all games using shift key for sprinting.

Hi, I don't know is this solution to your issue, but it is worth to check.
1.) go to "accessibility keyboard settings" (Like you did already)
2.) toggle sticky keys to "off" (Like you did also)
3.) click the sticky keys and go into the section itself (you probably missed this) and turn all of those options to "off" also.
4.) Restart computer
