Still no bow reticle (it's not so bad!)
I was hoping this changed but nope. Granted I'm low level with marksmanship, I don't understand why at the Very least we can't get a reticle after level 15 or so. This malarkey honestly will probably force me to only use a crossbow.

Yeah, like it was realistic back in those time to see your health and enemies health.
Crossbows shoot high, guess zeroing wasn't a thing back then.

Ordinary bows are almost spot on now.

Very very frustrating, but once you master the aiming point, very satisfying
Crossbows are easier to aim with, but still become spotty at range. I wonder how period-accurate it’d be to mount a sight on them?

Crossbows should have pinpoint accuracy within 75 meters.

..Dexterity? real life isn't D&D my guy.
It's takes a lot muscle to draw a bow string unless its a compound, but it's not a slow process or hard to know where you're aiming. Especially a crossbow with a lever.
Yes, dexterity is a term used before RPGs. And in real life turning 180 and firing an accurate shot takes way more muscle groups, way more care in even the heart beat to be accurate. You even need to adjust for the natural flex in arrows, which affects their trajectory. Shooting in real life any fire arm or projectile is far harder than in games. Games try and make it more realistic, for example in ready or not it takes a lot of time for your aim point to catch up. In this game, it shows the weight of the projectile. Holding anything heavier than 6 lbs gets tiring fairly quick, and without practice keeping your eyes in the scope is a chore. that's why single arm pods and prone with bipods are used in both past fire arms and modern fire arms.

The topic is KCD 2, and why we don't have an optional crosshair to aim in an unrealistic video game. In case you got confused during all that yapping. If it's for immersion/"realistic" then why do I have a crosshair while wielding a sword??? why does a silly UI pop up telling me where to block in combat???? I don't need a crosshair to tell me where I'm aiming in real life, I instinctually know, because its real life, and not limited to pre programmed in-game meta 1's and 0's. If your argument is to make it more realistic that's why games introduce WEAPON SWAY while aiming. Or simply using the arrow tip while drawn as a reference to the center of your screen etc.
you missed my original comment on this thread. I was going into detail into why the aiming is the way it is in the recent comment. They could absolutly dumb it down farther... I think many wouldn't enjoy the game as much.

Why do you need a bow reticle? Its not a rifle. Arrows have a significant arc. Aiming with a reticle is just going to dig up the dirt.
When doing competitions with the bow or crossbow, you want the tip of the arrow/bolt to be just below the outer ring of the target.
Why would you need a reticle for that?
When aiming a bow/crossbow, you are always going to have to aim it based on your distance from your target. Since you're holding it at shoulder height, you put the arrow/bolt tip at the bottom of the target means you're aiming slightly up.

I do archery with a recurve in real life and this is way more realistic than kcd1. Approved.
Same, intuitive archery with no aiming, and I agree. I can just look at the target in the game and release when it feels right and it is quite immersive and gives an accurate feel.

Ranged weapon crosshair / reticle Mod that even works on ranged weapon contests and compactions.

Lets you change the on-screen position, color and size of your reticle with 3 savable presets for different ranged weapons. The console command version is not correctly where the reticle should be and also does not work in contests/competitions but this mad does.

Custom Reticles (Move and adjust reticle for accurate aim)

you can get a mod for it but honestly the point of RPG meets sim is to be realistic learn the gen flight pattern.
