Still no bow reticle (it's not so bad!)
I was hoping this changed but nope. Granted I'm low level with marksmanship, I don't understand why at the Very least we can't get a reticle after level 15 or so. This malarkey honestly will probably force me to only use a crossbow.

there is a mod for that on nexus

there is an option for that on the game.

It's intentional, mate. IN KCD 1 there was a console command for that, hopefully there is one in KCD2 too.

the arrow positioning in this game is so much better than the first that you don’t need one after like 5 shots of practice
It's intentional, the game sacrifices many modern conveniences for immersion, that's one of them. This time around they made the arrow go closer to the center of the screen so now you don't need to compensate a football fields worth of distance between where you're aiming to where the shot will land.

For real? That'd be awesome!

Just put tape on your screen or buy a felt-tip pen.
Historical realism though.

I have noticed this big time. Aiming in KCD the arrow could go anywhere, but in KCD2 the predictability is drastically better. And what's 100% better is you gain XP when firing on targets at an archery range. 6xp if within 15 ft. 12xp if at roughly 25f. Doesn't matter if you hit the bullseye or the outer ring, XP only changes at range.

I do archery with a recurve in real life and this is way more realistic than kcd1. Approved.

Checked it just a moment ago - same console command works.
Moving away from the typical topics I engage in regarding this game, I will say I've always found the lack of bow reticle asinine. I get wanting it to be "realistic" but it's a video game first. Real life doesn't come with a sword reticle either but they give people that. 🤷

I got you mate. Problem is realistic aiming is a bit different than aiming in the game. irl I can pull the arrow to my nose, close one eye, focus on the tip and target, control my breath and evaluate distance - I cannot do that in game. So little help would be appreciated :)

This too. Never felt they did a good job of portraying bow use. But it's hard to do. At least give us a dot or something lol

Besides - I got reticle when throwing stones (help me aim nests for example) - so why not when shooting arrows or bolts?
