Why can't we just have QUICKSAVE???
I lost 2 hours of play today because I got jumped by bandits on the road while talking to an NPC!

Man I should make this a full time job. 2 Belladonna and 1 Nettle makes 2 Savior Pots at worse and Fully perked makes 6. Invest in alchemy early. :)
Modding helps. But adding autosaves before you fast travel can help prevent softlock situations.

If your on PC there is a tiny mods allows quick saves at any time even when in combat.
CAUSE it AINT assrim.....

Cause you dont fear being jumped if you can just reload constantly and its balanced around you fearing it and thinking about your movement, time of day, etc. Glad to see at least this remains consistent in the game.

This has always been a thing in KCD. The most downloaded mod in KCD of all time is one which enables you to just save the game. I saw an interview in which the devs said they are aware of it and therefore made it way easyer so save and the game saves constantly. To be honest maybe thats true in like the last 80% of the game but in the first 20% of the game which i played till now i did feel non of this. Quality of life in the aspect of just beeing able to save the game is still very low. The most effective way is just to restart the game every single time when you explore.
This is why it feels so bad imo, knowing I can quit the game to save, but can't just save without a consumable. Sure, the consumable is easy to craft, but it's just tedious. It's a video game at the end of the day, just give me a setting to have save or change to "harder" need consumable mechanic.

I found some in a satchel near the river, close to the old woman's hut (can't remember her name), the one with the alchemist room It had enough to make 10 potions. More than enough to begin with.

I think it's also deep in the forests, but that can be risky to gather. You can also buy the potions from many vendors.

Wine, add 1 nettle, boil for 2 turns.. two parts belladonna in grinder, boil 1 turn, add phial, profit, get perk that makes extra. Dry all herbs quickly, they are very abundant. There’s your infinite quicksave.
Download the mod of nexus mods. This save system is a waste of time for no reason.
Imagine playing a game like this and not saving for 2 hours.
I like it because to some degree it prevents me from save scumming every single dialog like i do in bg3 (yes i am trash)

you can make an exit save if you're out of schnapps

It's so easy to find it unlike KCD1, it grows between fields but also in forest. Once you spot one and you get a feel for how they look like you gonna see them everywhere.
