Essential KCD 2 Mods?

Unfortunately, there's no Steam Workshop support, so I thought about putting together a list of mods we can recommend that are essential for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Nexus Mods[www.nexusmods.com] is the best place to find them at the moment.

GameWatcher has a good list going too[www.gamewatcher.com], but it's missing some currently.

Just because the game lets you use any weapon at any stat level, doesn't mean you necessarily should. If you run out of stamina in 3 hits it's your own fault, go farm potions, train with tomcat, max out your inventory and start walking Kenshi style.

only mod I have is instant herb picking, I hate the stupid 3rd person animation why doesnt it just keep you in 1st person. so stupid

Middle Millennial here, and the stamina system is total BS.

Henry can't swing his sword more than 2-3 times early on without panting and wheezing. It's ridiculous and comical at times.

That's because the game is based more on realism hence no dragons have you ever swung an actual real sword and not a prop even 1h are heavy

Instant herb picking mod breaks animations. Install it if you want to be unable to use cooking stations, drying racks and half the interactions for quests. Or if you want to lock yourself out of Demons of Trosky quest.

Speaking from experience, swinging a sword a bunch of times in a row is very possible, but you get tired MUCH more quickly in a real fight. Especially considering Henry is recovering from some pretty horrific injuries throughout the game, it seems fair to me that he's basically anemic and asthmatic at the start.

As far as "essential" mods, the only one I can't really live without is Easy To See Herbs. Turns out Belladonna is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ everywhere, it's just incredibly hard to spot it because it looks like a generic background plant. The mod changes the appearance of some of the herbs in a realistic way, so it doesn't break immersion either. Very helpful

I would recommend no intro and better loading screens mods to make your loading experience better. And stay clean longer, I use quad version. You no longer get covered in a uniform layer of ♥♥♥♥ by walking 15 meters. Still does nothing to prevent you and your victim from being completely drenched in blood from gently touching their neck with a dagger in their sleep, but alas, we can't have it all.
