Get a job! :D You can work for the smithy and the miller. Both offer a place for you to sleep. Once you have a bit of coin, you can rent a room for a long time in Inns, although sometimes it's just a bit of hay. Sleep tight.
It IS immersive tho, it adds weight to what choices you make and when you decide to travel somewhere (is Henry injured/well rested enough?). You also can't save willy-nilly all the time because schnaps are somewhat limited and save-beds too, which leads to heightened tension when you get ambushed or ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan.
I already downloaded the saving mod so that issue should be gone.
Go to player menu, check buffs tab and you will know exactly what the symbols mean.
I think it makes everything you do in the game more "real" and less gamey, it makes KCD2 a bit more like real life where you don't know what is going to happen to you and so you adhere to the speed limits when driving to the gym etc. Limited saves also add slightly more potential risk in the form of lost time from reloading.
