Are you sure Han is the only option on the gay side of this? I get that promiscuity might be a bit more risky in those days but Istvan Toth seemed to pull off being open well.
There are a bunch of one off romances, there are also a few more that are in depth romances that will happen depending on what you do during your playthrough.

Because in this game you travel to a place rather far away and due to story events, you are now stuck there, without gear, horse and lost much of your previous skills. You can claim theresa is still your sweetheart in a cutscene though. If you get back there in the next game im sure we'll see her again.
