Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Statistiche:
(SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY) FEMALE KNIGHTS/ REPRESENTATION
Look, I'll start this off by saying I've been a member of the historical community now for an extensive period of time (roughly 2 years~ since I started studying), and I've been playing historical and history adjacent games for the entirety of that time. Ever since I began I have STRONGLY felt that the exclusion of femininity from the primary cast of characters in historical games is extremely disgusting. Most notably: Kingdom Come and its games lacking any form of female representation amongst the protagonists and playable characters.

It's not even that we need more female inclusivity (which we do). It's also that we need more sexual inclusivity, including homosexuality and bisexuality, which are two things which are incredibly lacking in the historical scene and amongst KCD2 in particular.

I am not opposed to any arguments or disagreements on the topic, but I feel like we really have to be a serious, strong, united community and have a genuine discord about this topic going forwards. This is a live service game, anything can happen. Personally I would love it if they finally bent, distanced themselves from the malicious ways of the ancient past, and finally embraced female knights & rulers. It may be technically ahistorical, but this is a modern game made for a modern audience and should reflect as much.

Thankyou for reading & replying. Again, please keep this civil!

About time somebody brought this up! And while we're at it, where are all the black, disabled, queer knights? Bohemia was filled with them!

I know this is going to sound weird to you given your way of thinking.. But there were no female knights in real life in the Middle Ages. So a game that is historically accurate, will not put a woman as a knight. And Kingdom Come wants to be a historically realistic game.
Trump 2028 you people will actually uninstall life before that tho.

The term is 'Dame', and even if you use it exclusively in the sense of titled women who didn't actually fight anyway, we do have many examples of real warrior women whom many would consider knights today despite them lacking the requisite honorifics: Joan of Arc, Matilda of Canossa, Isabella of Castille

l like it. Would have been better not to refer to 2 years as extensive. Don't let the haters get to you, everyone's a critic. I think the kitchen sluts should stay where they are, because they might fall down and hurt their lily white bottoms.
Blatant sexism.

What about Theresa? Nobody cares about her?
She is not a playable protagonist, and fails to qualify for a majority of LGBTQ categories besides the fact that she is a woman.
At this point i cant take any anime avatar serious anymore, grats

These women had no military training, they were only figureheads to harangue the troops with their religious charisma (Joan of Arc was seen as the holy "warrior" virgin).

These women would not have the statues of knight, because a knight remains a low nobleman having received military education and knighthood, these women received neither. However, they fought yes like many other women to defend their homes, they did not become knights.

However, no one has ever denied that there were warriors on the battlefields, women disguised as men who imitated them, history has a few, a small handful in all, it remained a very marginal behavior in the Christian worlds.
Question to OP:

Am i allowed to have the same feelings like you about inclusion and representation?
After KCD2, all bets are off. Female Japanese Knights in Medieval Bohemia here we come

"I'm member of historical comunity but I want my games to be completely oposite to that because representation"
You should sent this post to your historical comunity. See their reaction to that
Trump won in 2024 so most Americans and people in General just dislike the woke nonsense .

The Game is already being boycotted, the sales were good at first but now that it's confirmed that it's woke the boycott will finally start.
This is a historical game not fantasy, female knights would destroy the whole atmosphere, we all know that this time was really hard for womens.
Messaggio originale di Cadaver:
Do not change history in historical media. Just make inclusive fantasy media, but do not censor the past.
Modern wokist answer: 'but there always has been censorship'.
OP are you even replying to your discussion? Lame.

Trump winning upset as many people than it satisfied, anyway, I don't see how that is relevant here? It's not like by winning he changed everyone's minds.
