Lockpicking in KCD2
Hi, i played KCD multiple hundreds of hours using mice and keyboard and never had an issue with lockpicking. Now i cant even pick easy locks.

Is it just me or is on M&K the lock picking really bad? I cant seem to open easy locks for some reason, very easy worked yesterday. The courser is very hard to keep in position, and gets worse as more progress you did.

Sure someone will say its a skill issue, but if it were is there some tips?

reallty bad?
Yes reality is bad. My Little Pony land is better and more family friendly.
Im having issues with it aswell, so im sure its a problem with the game
It's completely asinine. One of several things that's much much worse in KCD2
Yeah it is worse, plus its hard in early game at least to practice to get better skillz.

Just more dumbed down for the dumb public to be able to play like combat.
the lockpicking system worse than KCD1.
The lockpicking system is definitely harder than kcd1 but I havent had any issues on very easy, easy, and normal locks on m+k. I assume when I level up a bit more hard and very hard will be manageable too.

Its absolute ♥♥♥♥ tbh just because of the constant uncontrollable circling shake ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. 21 thieving and im shaking like a Parkinson's ridden vibrator on my second very hard lock after picking the first with no issues. 10 tries on the second later and i can see it was pure luck that got me through the first time. If the minigame/mechanic was counterable with mouse movement it wouldnt be so bad but it literally is not possible to control the mouse like that on any dpi. And i played FPS games for thousands of hrs so i know how to control mouse.
it's just like everything else in the game, it gets significantly easier when your stats are better.

I can open hard locks and below without any issue. It's not a skill thing really, it's just you need high agility and thievery.

They switch it around to have pickpoketing being the easier route.
Or KO and get them keys.

You can still lockpick but is slightly more difficult.
Adapt, we ain't playing kcd1.
If you grind alchemy as you should and make quickfinger potions (which you can get the recipe for from the beginning of the game) you can get +8 to thievery, which trivializes lockpicking. It also levels up insanely fast, and you'll be able to at least hit medium locks with a potion.
I don't think it's that much harder, but I went back and played 1 from the beginning recently. I'd say they're about the same difficulty.
Lockpicking is a bit harder than the first game, but you get used to it...plus skill level is important. I have 30 thievery and very hard locks are no problem at all now. Like even if I mess up a lot....I can always recover without breaking the pick.

Take the perk that lets you gain thievery and stealth skill when you sell stolen items as soon as you can. Break into a store at night and clean it out. Weapon stores are best since everything is laying in the open. Then sell all the items at once to a vendor that buys stolen goods. I went from the low 20s to 30 in both skills in one run.

The lockpicking is correctly balanced. If your character is not good with thielvery, you won't be able to lockpick anything unless you train again and again...

or drink the right potion, which makes it super easy.
It's a bug - try to reload the game or PC.
