Problems with ultrawide subtitles

So far this is my only complain about the game, i am playing at 21:9 aspect ratio and i don't have those top/bottom black horizontal bars during dialogs like you see if you are playing at 16:9.

The problem is that those subtitles have a black background and you can't turn the black background off in the settings. This is very distracting because in some dialogs you don't have that but every time you engage in a conversation the subtitles have the black background, this didn't happen in KCD1

I've created a support ticket and they didn't understood what i was talking about, they only replied to turn off the option high contrast subtitles, but i have it off.

Yeah same problem here. Hopefully there will be a fix.

same problem here! I did the same with the ticket but I'm waiting for an aswer. Maybe using a mod from nexus called "no letterbox" it will work. that's my only hope for now.

IT WORKED! Just install this https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance2/mods/34?tab=files or search for KCD2 no letterbox. The high contrast is gone!
