This is fine in theory, but completely weird when it comes to Hans and Henry.
I'm not surprised , in the first game he was quite flamboyant. Then again you could explain it , just by nature of him being a young lordling.
I don't perticularly care about it , neither do I care about romance in this or the first game, I found it more of a side thing.
Chasing around the pond after the girl , was the last romance thing I did in the game, because jesus, it was so boring.
In relation to the second - apply the same to the included cast of characters.
