it does get harder when you really get into the game tho.
I've already fought multiple enemies, the only different is now you just kite backwards and wait for green shield.
Doesn't matter how strong the enemies get. Wait for green shield, RMB + LMB, auto win.
yes sometimes they'll counter your counter, and yes sometimes you'll get into a counter trade off until you're out of stamina.. but then you just back off and wait again... combat is literally nothing more than counter the counter, that he countered when you countered to finally hit him, and its brain rot easy to do. Doesn't matter how tough the enemies are chief.
It's really not though. They changed a fundementally large part of the combat system to simplify it, and made countering obscenely easy to do compared to the first one, while making it so OP its all you have to do to auto win every fight.
Nah, I could counter just as easily in kcd1. Fighting was trivial one on one. You just had to get the timing right.
Perhaps you never learned master strikes in the first game?
Skyrim also had other systems though as well to add to it, like magic, enchanting, alchemy etc. All in all the elder scrolls have a far better combat system than this game does if anything KCD is very basic and barebones. Granted Elder scrolls could use just a tad more depth to the melee combat, but the other systems that are also part of the combat just makes it vastly superiod to KCD. I mean I've watched people play both kcd 1 and 2 and the combat just looks extremly boring. It needs more to it than it has for me anyway. Plus i'm gonna be honest the stances npcs take just look stupid alot of the time to the point I can't take the games combat seriously at all. It'd be even worse if the game had 3rd person view and you'd see Henry does the same comedic stuff. No one fights like they do in KCD irl, you'd just get curb stomped.
It will unless you're in a part of the game you have no business being, or wearing inferior equipment or weapons.
And if the OP counter system isn't getting you through the fight, then you're seriously lacking in major stats, and nothing else is gonna be easy to win, or possible.
I literally told you how to do it, and how simple it is, go be that god gamer now. Thank you for the comment though. Even though you said it I'm sure in jest, or mockery, it really wasn't, especially if you find it actually difficult..
The problem is ost people are way over thinking the combat system in KCD2. That's the problem that gets them into trouble and having difficulty with it. I did too the first hour until I realized how simple the system actually was and how OP the counter system is.
And if you find waiting for a green shield and pressing S a few times difficult, I feel sorry for how difficult your life must be irl to deal with. This combat system is far more simple than most things in life.
