bug with bow cancelling my draw

I cant seem to fix this bug, i go to draw my arrow with my bow and it will always just shoot the bow before it reaches max draw sometimes it just cancels and shoots the arrow at the very start of the animation sometimes it does it at the end but either way i cant use a bow and i have higher then the required stats to use the bow so it isn't a stat issue. anyone else experience anything like this and find out what the issue was?

whats ur current hp at? it determines how much stamina u have and u need alot to pull back a bow

my stamina bar doesnt even start to drop, the animation starts for drawing and then the arrow just shoots by itself. restarting the game makes my bow be able to be fully drawn for 1 shot but then every draw after just prefires the arrow.

Do you have enought agility or strenght to draw the bow ?

yup it requires 5 of both, strength and agility, i have 7 in both. its as if the bow command to aim isnt working properly with the mouse so it just shoots instantly as if im not holding the button down.

Could potentially be an issue with your mouse, perhaps LMB has a dodgy connection.

nah my mouse is fine as everything else in every other game i play works fine and i changed the key binds to a bunch of other keys and the issue was the same on every key bind i tried. ive tried reinstalling, restarting pc, verifying game files both before and after reinstallation. ive tried different key binds and settings but also when i used the crossbow for the opening of the game it worked fine but now my bow draw just doesnt draw passed the initial animation, not sure if i can use a crossbow anymore until i manage to get one again either

I have the same issue, thought it was a stat issue but once I got the required amount, this started to happen. Nothing from health, stamina, or stats would explain the issue. I think this is an issue with longbows only, so crossbow seem fine.

I'll keep tinkering to see if I can resolve this issue. Otherwise I'm stuck using the weakest bow, its the only one that seems to work without issue.

Ok, somewhat good news. It seems whatever this bug is, if it is, currently only affects a particular bow for me. Dog something Longbow, with 160 power stat. Its the best I got.

Got another bow at 110 Power and it worked just fine. So maybe there's some underlying stat requirement? But there's no way to know, from everything I can tell about my stats I should be able to use the other bow just fine. Even have the perk to reduce the stat requirement even further.

So yeah, there's that. I hope someone reports this bug to WarHorse.

yeah i just found my 1st crossbow and it works fine but ive tried and 2 different bows dont work for me so i guess ill just find a good one that works or just stick to crossbows until the bug is fixed

I found my first bow and could shoot it normally at first, but then I tried the archery contest and this issue popped up. I try to draw my bow but it just instantly releases the arrow.
