Hardcore janky game, how did this recieve 9?
I have always wondered how this game received 9 despite being janky as just entering 2000s, and so did Stalker 2? I realized that this game is rated high only because it has majority white cast, and nothing else. This is like culture war rating, not authentic rating. I complained about jankiness about stalker 2, and I got banned as "Russian propaganda"

This game has like 1998 design, even Morrowind or Oblivion plays well, but this game doesn't. Right form the beginning the game starts you clipping. When you want to take down an enemy, it is convoluted. The dice game presentation is horrible.

American developers are the best. This game will die down in just thousands just like stalker 2. There is no hatred for this game because of its white cast, just like STALKER 2. However, polished game like Veilguard got hate because it has some black people in it, but I don't care about the story just gameplay.

It got the 2+ point DEI bonus. All modern games get this if they have enough of these elements in them.

No one actually "owns" their digital games, as it's purely a license to a game you are effectively purchasing. But i agree that Stalker 2 is some of the worst over hyped, and unfinished, garbage i have ever had the displeasure to spend my time on.

And while i don't necessarily think Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a bad game by any gameplay related metrics, i also highly doubt it's worthy of the meaningless "game of the year" award by a show i couldn't care less about if it were to be presented on a golden plate.
There are plenty of other titles who are far more likely to receive such a thing.

I am not sure why you would defend WokeAge: The Failguard, however, as that game was the biggest DEI modern garbage i ever have laid my eyes upon, that they had the nerve to call "Dragon Age".

refunds take a while to remove the mouse from next to your name, try again kid... games been out what 9 hours now? must've been the fastest steam refund EVER

You don't need to believe me. There are multiple ways to obtain games these days. Get that clear. I tried to get into this game for a long long time, and I cannot get over its jankiness.

It is exceedingly janky. I mean, even games that are 10 years old but that would be recent due to how long games take development, so even Oblivion has great gameplay.

you CLEARLY havent touched the game, the first was a lil janky when walking through bushes, this one really isnt. go buy the game and try it, your troll is showing.

i agree with OP. the rpg elements are weak, the combat is some year 2000 unresponsive jank and somehow feels worse than the 1st KCD, Quests have already bugged out on me causing me to reload and lose progress, the theft system is buggy as hell, horses still get stuck in wooded areas,

e.g. I just alt-f4'ed because i just got reported for theft in a place i havent even been to yet.

What bothers me the most are dialogs. Some lines are voiced by different actors (english), like the lines about burying corpses in the beginning. Or when NPC is giving Henry hard time, just to act all chummy in the next line. Or in that tavern, when Henry agrees to move the sacks just to be told harshly to move them in the end of the dialog like if he refused it before.

you clearly never played this game or the first one, the story and gameplay is great and that's what sold the first game and created a fanbase for the second one

No, I played this game. You don't understand, there are multiple ways to get this game, Steam is not the only way.

It is janky, did you play the combat? It gives panic attacks, it doesn't gel well. You are not confident when fighting.

Also, when the game began, and I went up the stairs, the amount of clipping was insane. I can show you screenshotsl

the combat is fine, massively improved from the 1st and not had any clipping, maybe you need to upgrade your potato?

but please tell me more about this "jank"
