It's especially hard since every grindstone I encountered was in such a dark spot, the blade was pitch black...but increasing the gamme would make the illuminated parts look like the planet Arrakis xD
I usually reach 97-98.
maybe it's easier with a hiher skill-lvl?
Hold the sword / axe in the right angle, not so flat that just little sparks appear and also not that it starts to smoke.
Constantly using the pedal under many large sparks is good, orange sparks show the spots you already finished and white sparks show that there's some progress.
Sharpen all the little spots where still white sparks show up and you should get your weapon to 100 durability.
The little notice that pops up in the upper right I think just means it has a high quality finish.
never saw this bug but none of my widely used blades ever needed a second grinding, unless they were super bloody and that is only way to clean them
You may notice there are more colorful sparks that come out when you find the perfect angle. Sharpening even the most broken of weapons takes only a few moments at the perfect angle. the more you practice the less effort it takes
although i suppose its possible the craftsmanship skill level plays a role. perhaps i dont encounter this anymore because im lvl 30 craft
You cannot improve a sword's 'durability' with a grindstone. They are for sharpening.
