Bows shoot instantly?

I think I have something wrong with my key binds or controls. When I draw a normal bow, it looses instantly once fully drawn. I can't draw it and then aim before loosing an arrow. Is this just how bows work in KCD2? If not, how do I unscramble whatever I did?

Same thing here, using a DualSense controller.

Check your strength against the bow requirements. It's happening because you don't have enough strength to keep the bow taunt.

Had the same issue with a 5 strength bow. Reloaded a previous save, bought a weaker bow and can now aim. We aren't good/strong enough for the good bows yet.

If it isn't due to strength being too low it could be your mouse is failing. Happened to me years ago playing Skyrim, casting spells would be constant pops of the animation instead of a stream but sword swings still worked. I thought it was a bug with the game but it ended up being my mouse.

I think It's a skill issue... No really, like you need to get your bow skill up a point. Then you can draw it back and hold it steady for a bit.

Same problem, bow requirement 5/5. i have 6/6 but it doesnt work - bow just shoot instantly

weirdly enough, i think it has something to do with crouching and using the bow, i got rid of the bug a while ago and was able to use the bow fine for about 20/30 mins, then crouched and it came back instantly.

It happened/happens to me too. Somehow I can aim (and hold it) when the bandits are close enough tho. It's really weird and annoying. Almost as if it requires a target in order to hold it.

i get 7/7 stats and bow start to work, idk how it works

If you are exhausted or weak you can't keep the bow taught.

We had same trouble. Bow was Bellow Stats, but shoot instantly. Had to buy lower-spec bow And Now everyting works.
