IS crime impossible in this game?
It seems that NPC's are fully psychic now and will "detect suspicious activity" and immediately link any and all crimes to you, no matter what. As a test, I even entered a town Henry had never been inside of before in the dead of night, never talked to anyone, was never seen by anyone, snuck to a shop, broke into it, stole some stuff, then left the town. About 3 hours later I got the popup "Someone has noticed something you stole is missing and linked it back to your suspicious activity, and now the guards will be looking to arrest you!" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ what. HOW. WHO. I don't even know who it is I robbed, they don't even know me. They just telepathically linked the crime to me?!

Nope that's not true, actually I tested this right at the very beginning, you know how there's a quest where you have to unload sacks as part of the story in the beginning? Well right at the start of it, every time I went inside I stole every single thing in the room. And so the lady became suspicious because she was walking in and out and started to see things missing, but because I kept carrying the sacks they all assumed I belonged there and stopped suspecting me. So yes they get suspicious but you have to stand out enough for them to suspect you.

You were still in the tutorial phase of the game and immune to crime. You have to wait until you're off the rails for your actions to have consequences. That happens as soon as you get out of the stocks the first time.

as in the first game, you suck at everything until you either level up the skills thru practice or learn via a teacher.

I was not immune at all, because as soon as they started to suspect me the little sleuth rabbit icon popped up, so at no point are you actually immune, and if you want to test that commit any crime in front of someone in that phase, they will respond the way they would past that point.

So what, you have to level up thievery for Henry to not leave a note that has his name, address, and an accurate drawing of his face behind in the crime scene? No one saw me, I was a ghost in the town. No one even knew I existed as a person. And no, trust me, i nthe first game you could break into the armory and rob yourself full plate mail even with crappy and low skills, and not get caught.

Apparently a certain Sub Saharan vagrant has put the people in Bohemia on full alert so they are more vigilant than ever.

The little sleuth bunny icon doesn't mean anything except that NPC's are looking for you. Thats it, it has nothing to do with bounty or being arrested. When I had the popup saying the guards were looking to arrest me, NO bunny popped up.

It means they're suspicious of you, but the actual arresting part comes if they catch you actually doing something. Which is when you stand out, because otherwise they won't even ask to search you unless you're in a suspicious area, or the only one around.

No, it just means they are looking for you. It also happens if you accidentally trespass. Like if you barge into someone's home because you didn't know it was a home, or enter a shop after closing hours, the icon pops up, and people will ask you to leave.

Okay If that is true that is some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Can someone confirm being a thief got nerfed that badly? That might be an actual reason for me to wait a bit before putting 2 hours in. Doesn't seem like a very fun mechanic.
And do it AFTER the tutorial is done, after you're off the rails, when Hans leaves you.
I dont know about the other stuff but i stole a horse without being seen and got attacked by the guards all the way in the next village for it. Seems like everyone knows every single horse in the world and who it should belong to.

Well, that one I can understand, because they clearly see you riding the house. Like on a realistic standpoint, no, they shouldn't recognize the horse as stolen until word had gotten around, but on a gameplay standpoint, it'd be busted if you could just snatch any horse. IT's when I break into a new town in the dead of night without being seen by anyone, ghost in, and ghost out, and then get a message that I got caught when I am an entire town over, thats BS from a realism and gameplay perspective.

Wait until you hit the reputation bugs, or hell maybe they are not bugs and intentional LOL, like the other bugs.
