RTX 3080 @ 3440 x 1440p ok?

Friends I have two options.
1. Play now on 5900x + RTX 3080
2. Wait 3-5 months for my RTX 5090 order to be fulfilled.

Can I play on RTX 3080. Will game play ok and will it look ok? Can I play ot on high?

Please advise.

I'm playing on a 3080Ti and it's very playable. Looks beautiful! and I'll look forward to when my 5090 is finally available, but for now it's well worth playing.

not worried about the gpu as i have a 4080, but how does it run with a processor like a 5800x ?

Nice thing is that it uses DLSS, so you are guaranteed a decent framerate with it set to Quality.

I would think so, as performance seems to be top notch. I can play on 4k (mostly)ultra settings even without using DLSS with my 4080

3070 ti here. Everything was already defaulted to Ultra when I checked settings. I haven't turned on the FPS tracker, but there is no lag whatsoever. They really did a good job optimizing this game.

i play on 4k right now with my 3080 on ultra with DLSS its soild 60-70 fps . it smooth even. even with a dip to 57-58 it still smooth fps . game is so well optmized i wouldnt upgrade to 5090 to play it. since already on ultra on 4k this game run so well on 3080
when i change to high settings i got 80-95fps . so you can play on ultra with soild fps too . tbh not much gained on ultra vs high but i perefer ultra for little extra.

change from quality to performance you actually dont lose any visuals and it give you a good buff of 10 fps. i tried to see difference between quality and performance since in a game like cyberpunk you see it . but in this game its literally cant spot the difference. prob best optmized game i played in last 5 years

Yes, I was getting BSODs on the latest drivers. The December drivers work wonderfully with KCD2 on my 3080.
