Game crash on startup

I have had constant issues with game crashing on startup. I get so far I get the first window up and mouse cursor changes. Other games work, I've tried verifying game files but that doesn't help. Anyone with the same issues that have found a solution ?

My card is updated, but still the same issue.

I've now tried verifying all windows files. Found one error thats now fixed. Rolled back GPU driver. Still same issue. Running Gaming laptop. RTX 4050. Ryzen CPU

I’m having a similar issue. When launching the game through Steam, it occasionally crashes immediately and shows a crash report window, forcing me to restart. However, if the game launches without the crash report (either on the first try or after a reboot), it runs completely stable. The only exception was a one-time freeze during the initial sequence where I controlled the priest on the city wall defending against enemies. Beyond that single incident, the game works perfectly once it’s running

Game freezes at menu screen for me. Anyone know how to force DX11? It solved it for me with PoE2 launch.

you can text in startoptions: -dx11

But it is a Graphic Error with DX12, the Game make a Overflow in the TEMP Folder and cant start.

you can also test Settings:

- Set the exe in PowerMode ->System->Display->Graphics-> Add the exe and set High Performance

- Install DirectX newly: https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/download/details.aspx?id=35

- Install VC newly: https://learn.microsoft.com/de-de/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170#latest-microsoft-visual-c-redistributable-version

- Update Win

- Exclude the Game in Win FW

Test it again.

This is a problem with Nvidia drivers.
I returned the version to 566.36 and can play, later I installed back 572.16 again and was able to enter the game.
Just reinstall driver in Nvidia app.

I've done this as well. Rolled back to two different drivers. Same issue. Reinstalleded the latest and no changes. Every other game works. So this is strange.
