Double Input Controller Issue

I am using my PS4 controller and am having double input issues. It's most noticeable in the menu - when I press Up or Down, it moves up or down two options instead of one. Tested the controller on other games and not having the issue there, only in this game. Anyone know how to fix?

Had the same issue and finally found out what was causing it for me. I had a controller plugged into my computer and was trying to use a second wireless one which was giving me the double input issue. When I unplugged the wired controller, and made sure the wireless controller was the only thing Steam Controller Input was picking up, the double inputs stopped happening.
