Can't wait to play the game at the very normal time of 10am!
Just release the game at midnight local time. We're really thinking about this too hard if we're that concerned about other people getting the game before us. The simpler things are the better. I don't care if people in New Zealand have the game 24 hours before me, It just doesn't make sense to be the day of release, but I can't play the game because it's not the SPECIFIC ORDAINED TIME on release day.

steam do not automatically release games. devs have to actually publish it.
you want some poor soul to sit infront of a PC for 24 hours pressing release in every region?

also who says you have to play at 10am? you can start playing at any time after release. Some people wont even play before they come home from work/school.

also a bit late to the "JUST RELEASE LOCAL MIDNIGHT PARTY", since thats not been a thing on steam for many many years.
im confused, I saw a global release map showing that the game was going to have a midnight release in the states. It indicated that the game would be released at 9 pm on the westcoast. So which is it? 10am release or is this getting released at midnight?

There are plenty of games that release on Steam at midnight. Actually, I"m pretty sure almost all games that I've ended up pre-ordering do. There's only been a handful that do this weird global release all at once thing.

Also, gee whiz man I had no idea I could play the game at some other time than 10am lol. True about not being able to play after work or school. In fact I'm that guy!

Not sure about most of what you said, but I'm not trying to argue. Usually I don't care about a game enough to play on release, but I'm particularly stoked about this one.

Sorry for the late response, been too busy playing the game. Take a peek at Monster Hunter Wilds release time on Steam. Should clear up your misunderstanding!

Er... releases at 4 in the morning for me, so not an example of a rolling midnight release, it just so happens to be midnight for you.

clearly not a rolling midnight release on PC ;)

yes, console got rolling release. but the PC clearly do not.
like the person above me said, it just happens to be midnight for you where you live. But the world is more than just your timezone :P
So there's these things called timezones.... you live in one. You can't help it, you can't avoid it, you're in one. What is midnight for you is not midnight for the rest of the world.

This is also a video game. If you can't play it the very minute it releases then oh well, not a big deal or worth worrying about at all.
