Did you have the Hans love quest? I found it fun and a great way to end the game.
Hopefully I get back to it some day. Doubt I'll do it before trying out the second one though as I'm itching to play it. This January/February is way too hectic for great new releases. KCDII, Avowed, Civ, Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy at the end of January..... Wish they would spread it out better.
I do remember hitting some bugs when it first came out. Think I had to run around a church or something searching for clues and couldn't get the game to progress.
I'd go back just to get wasted with the priest that one night though. Hilarious.
With each playthrough I achieved near max level, and each time I dropped the game before entering the monastery. I only came back to finish my last savegame because of the impending release date of KCD2.
I don't hold it against the game, though. I have an aversion to completing main quests and KCD was maybe a little too good at letting me do what I want.
Too bad I'm not going to be playing the sequel now.
I was not disappointed in the slightest. Finished it the other night and I am more than ready to see where this next instalment brings our boy Henry. 400 hours later I can put KCD1 behind me even though I didn't finish every single quest (some DLC) in the game, I can look back on it and know that I gave it my all.
