This should pinned! Very good writeup!
So how should my system run? I meet or exceed the recommended specs except for my CPU (although it is an i7).

CPU: Intel Core i7 10700KF
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3080 10GB
RAM: 32GB
Storage: m.2 NVMe SSD
Output: 1440p Ultrawidescreen 3440x1440

Maybe 60FPS with a mix of med and high and DLSS quality? (Alternatively I could use FSR with frame generation if available.) Most new games I run max or high settings. Indiana Jones was my first game with some Medium settings, maybe this one too? That’s fine as long as it looks good and runs smooth.

Should I consider overclocking my CPU?

The link shows most CPU/GPU combos out there as well as the resolution. You can find your CPU/GPU on the chart. According to it, you're looking at about 76 fps average at 1440p on ultra settings. Because you're using ultrawide, probably shave off a several more fps.

Oh awesome, thank you! I guess I got intimidated at the article with all the data. I’ll go look again.

According to every single reviewers, the game is very well optimized. You don't have to paly at Ultra to enjoy games.

every single reviewer doenst even put a proper benchmark software up. they all say "it runs smooth, it runs good, i have no problems" thats not how you make a performance review.

Fantastic page. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like GPU RAM and CPU cores are the deciding factors. That's not unusual.

Also looks like my 5-year-old PC will handle it just fine.

Now, just need to learn about the fun factor (and whether I'm right in that the questionable content is barely in the game at all). Still waiting on those jurors I can trust to be consistent.

(As long as the people I trust have preferences that don't ebb and flow with the crowds, I can gauge my enjoyment, even liking the things they don't like depending on what they don't like and why and how I might not like certain things based on the reasons they like them. Most of the popular 'tubers go all over the place with their preferences that seem to target clicks rather than integrity.)
5800x (i also own a 57800x3d im gonna throw in to try), 6950xt, 64gb ddr4 3200

i guess in two hours ill know how my last gen system still stands up

PC Gamer actually did it properly. They have different systems to test as well, you can find it in their review video or the performance analysis article they published.
