Do I have to play a murderer?

I've seen plenty of videos of KCD2 where Henry is cruel and kills people for the sake of killing.

I wanted to be a pacifist, trying not to kill anyone or at least keep it to a minimum and only if really necessary, like defending my life under attack.

But it seems Henry is a murderer at heart, so I'm afraid I can't play this game, I can't just play as someone that can murder people. I feel deceived, because I thought the protagonist was supposed to be a good guy. Warhorse Studios should remove that option, to kill without just cause. Punishment is not enough.

That and butt secks.

There was an achievement for 0 kills, so probably in the 2nd game you will be able to play as pacifist. But there was 1 scripted murder during the main quest. Main Henry's motivation is revenge, so probably there still will be 1-2 scripted murders

It would be nice if you could knock out with weapons and not always kill.

But anyway, I currently do a side-run where I only fight with fists, 12 hours in I did not kill a single person or even animal, it's hard, but it's possible!

There was a pacifist achievment in KDC1. I think most of the time you can get enemies to run or surrender. ( but you will need high skills )
