Hi!
Worth a Buy did an FPS test on his pc.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yJI_yFzUik
He did but he forgot to do a proper one for 1440p, where most people operate. Sadly.
I wonder if 2070 Super with 12900k will be ok then. Time will tell.
Until 1440p does any functional (and major) difference for me (i.e. some games the UI really is another world with 1440p), I will keep playing in 1080p + enhancements for smooth gameplay, but ofc it's a personal preference.
(And, again, my hardware a bit outdated).
Please let me know, my 5700XT is right under your 2070 Super, and CPU almost half of yours eh (Ryzen 5600X). I'll be so grateful if you can tell me what you will get there (Praydge for you and for me that'll be all good, even though not max, I'm sure, but decent is enough for me).
Not an AMD guy so can't really give good advice. But your rig is roughly in-between minimum and recommended so you might need to fiddle a bit more with setting.
If I remember correctly KCD2 had FSR and XeSS so those are going to be your saving graces. Maybe test both and see which give better average fps. I'm guessing Xess since that fared better at tests.

For example: Lets say your GPU can only handle up to 1080p 30fps. You can toggle on DLSS or FSR to lower your resolution to 720p and upscale it back to 1080p. You may have 45fps now or even 60. If your CPU can't handle the load, maybe you can lower ground clutter or object quality over distance.
Keep in mind you'll always sacrifice something in visual quality, but often times the fps gains are worth it. I can't tell you how many games I've played where I can't tell a difference between High and Ultra unless my face is right up on the screen looking for the details.
Unless its Crysis. Then you're screwed ;)
Yeah thanks, I'm crossing my fingers in here, FSR was absurdly impressive when well implemented, like in BG3 i.e.
I don't really care for ultra-uber graphics, just don't want it looking like a 2005 game heh, in a game that needs a bit of immersion.
