How do you feel about race and gender swaps in movies and TV shows?

It has been established that Henry was a fixed, straight protagonist in KCD 1 .Do you feel the sexuality swap of Henry to bisexual or gay is any different or more acceptable?

Its not a swap, they havent made him gay...its a choice the player can explore. Im all for choice,especially in rpgs

I don't even watch movies or TV (recent releases anyway) but I love it because people get so mad about it. I cannot think of a more inconsequential thing to soy rage at.

It’s called evolution accept it or be left behind with the “old timer way of thinking” what is the norm is so alien and foreign to people who don’t want to accept the reality, and stay stuck in that closed mind of theirs. Either accept the reality or miss out on some awesome games such as this

Since he is canonically straight on purpose as stated by warhorse this is completely false and if you knew you are lying.

I feel the same way as in the case of Mass Effect 3. I loved the first one, the second was slightly woke but whatever. My male Shephard was still straight as an arrow. However, in the case of the third one, my Shephard went full bubble grumble with Kaidan and it forced me to uninstall the game immediately and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the whole ME franchise until this very day.

His orientation hasn't been changed, this time the player simply has a choice that he didn't have the last time. My Henry was and still is straight, but others may choose a different path for him and that's awesome. Every game should be designed this way.

You can't have the choice to be gay for a straight character... Henry is bi wether you like it or not

I have never been banned, because I have never said anything racist or homophobic, I have only called out the devs on their hypocrisy (2017 Henry is Henry to 2025 you are Henry) and their attempted deception in hiding the gay romance (only to be outed by the Saudi ratings board).

I am on record as saying I don't think the gay romance is woke in isolation, but in the context of the first game it is extremely woke.

So, in light of the established facts that Henry was a fixed (straight) protagonist in KCD1, how do you feel about the sexuality swap? Is it any different to race and gender swaps in other media?

If shows gave a choice what gender/race the characters are i would have no issue with it.
