Will KCD2 under or over perform? Just how many games on all platforms will it sell? What is your prediction?

Of course it will pay off. The first part was great and the second one will be even better. But because of two minor omissions in someone's opinion, it will definitely not be as successful as it could be. Several million players would have bought it just to support games without the woke agenda. This was the case with the movie Deadpool and Wolverine.

Considering where its pre-order sales are (As of this writing, KCD 2 is ranked 2nd among the top selling games on Steam), I'd say there's an excellent chance it will by a sizable margin. That said, if the game has a rocky launch due to bugs and/or is poorly received, that could change very quickly.

Guaranteed many of the preorders on Steam are people just buying it so they can post a review bashing the game and then they will refund in 2 weeks.

People who engage with a game other than playing it (e.g. by posting on forums, reviewing, etc.) are like, what, 4-5% of the player base?
