There will be a choice in the game. But it's still not very good because it kills Henry as a character of traditional views.

I would never call Henry a paragon of tradition. You can choose to be more traditional or a virgin in KCD1 but he is really just the average Bohemian peasant not some Inquisitor Gigachud.

From my understanding you'd have to actively engage with this character in such a way to develop the ''relationship'' to where Henry can actually romance, so no. It's not something I will ever see, or you if your Henry doesn't swing that way.

It's a player choice that doesn't affect the game at all for anyone who'd like to have a more historically safe Henry. You'd have to be insane to believe that homosexuality didn't exist in medieval times, but in most places you'd face harsh consequences and as such it wasn't something you'd advertise in most cases if you wish to live a normal life.
I'm not pro LGBTQ+ w.e. tf. I think it has gone too far, but denying that homosexuality has always been a thing not only amongst humans is pure ignorance.

Henry is canonically straight, but if you really really really want, you can try to change that.

It is actually quite hard to achieve, and if you will get the choice to be gay, you still have to choose for yourself but it is possible.

But be beware. Sodomy was sin in Medieval. If you will choose to be sodomite, people will react to it, and it will not be pleasant.
