USSR was communist though due to the Bolsheviks. NSDAP were fighting the Bolsheviks due to the state they turned the country into (ie Wiemar Republic).
The book burning were not random books, they were the material from the ISS (institute of Sexual Studies). Why would they be burning that? Why did they ban pornography, prostitution, etc...?
