My system is well quite above the recommended sysreq for KCD1, but I remembered my rig had problems running the game, freezing, never hitting 60 fps iirc, 30-50 is my fps range, fps drop on certain levels where there is high mob counts ie the siege on the south against mercenaries i think.
Now my question is how optimized will KCD2 be, now that my rig is below recommended sys req?

At least it doesn't require a 5090

yea, though I'm scared that the mim sys req will only able to run the game around 15-20 fps, since I only have as 1650ti but i7-10thgen, 24gb ddr4. It might not run properly since the 1st game already had problems.
If you had problems with the first game, obviously this is a bit more demanding. On ~medium details that was pretty fine on my previous 1050ti though. You can always run this on Steam Deck.

They've made this official, by the way. So presumably it can run Crys... Kuttenberg. https://www.facebook.com/WarhorseStudios/videos/1361118205097070

Previews: CzechCrunch played on a quadcore Ryzen, 16GB, GTX 1070 med to high details in 30-50 fps (1440P, they claimed). Worth A Buy (Youtube) played on a i9 9900K, 32GB, RTX 2080, 1080P on high (up to 90-100 fps with DLSS, that is in the forest areas he showed). Gamestar claimed the game was butter smooth on their RTX 3080 machine (1440P, Ultra). That was all prior to last patch they got.

seems nice, but i dont plan on buying any handheld consoles anytime soon
Easy peasy
Thinking about getting a 7700XT or a 4060TI to play this game. Waiting for a good discount once the next gen drops in Feb/March.
I'll give it a go with Intel Arc B580.
Devs have been putting out crazy system requirements well over what's needed recently...probably in response to people with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rigs complaining frames drop in large cities of open world games.

well... this requirements are okay. I mean, it is 2025 and the minimum specs would be rigs from 2018/2019 (CPU) and the GPU could be even older...

Even my 7 yr old pc at my parent's home (the used-when-visiting-only pc) could handle that.

But to be honest: the old game also had high demands... it was never 100% stable on 60fps for me..
Just to be clear, WH have stated (and several of those with EA keys playing the game themselves on various rigs have confirmed) that KCD2 day one will already be in a more stable condition than what KCD1 is currently at its last stage of post-launch development.

As is always wise with new games, it is a good practice to put everything on the lowest settings first and bump them up bit by bit to find the sweet spot for what settings will work best with your rig. I typically like to start new games that just skip everything and put me in charge, and run around doing random nonsense for a bit as I toy with the settings, THEN delete that savegame and start a new ACTUAL game, to watch cutscene and pay attention to dialogue...but that is just me.
My old rig, gtx 970 (god good ol' berta kept chugging along!), "new" rig 4070 TI.

Thoughts on the req.
It seems fine, I do feel annoyed that more and more devs don't seem to master the art of optimysation, but ehh. We also want them to make everything more pretty, bigger, more sexy (for a lack of a better way to phrase it). At some point bloat and non optimized builds become the norm.
I might be in trouble, I only have an i5 and an RTX 3060ti.
