i found one gay guy at the end of a quest. he was thretend he hade to fight his opressors and won. after that he was forced to live alone in the woods. they only let him live because they need his alchemi skills.
you only found out about this if you ask him about it and have enough speek skill that he trusts you.
so yeah there is homophobia from the village people but you only heare it in a story he tells you.
Its not acceptable, but you can do it. If you get caught bumming, then best of luck to ya.
You're asking if a 1400's Bastard's son can have an openly gay relation in a time and place where homosexuality was considered sinful and scorned and wondering if this is a 'safe' environment for LGBT+ folk?
No, no it is not, and as the B in that abbreviation, I'm okay with this. Homosexuality/same-sex relations were met with hostility at the time in a time and place where the culture meant it was both unwelcome and to a point unreasonable.
I don't condone or welcome homophobia but back then it was entirely normal and frankly the options for a same-sex relation in this game after it wasn't available in the last game and we're left with no reason or suspicion that the protagonist may be homosexual, this sudden change in options feels ham-fisted. I could understand if the option to romance certain main same-sex characters or even generic NPCs (especially considering the first game allows you to build your own village) were an option, but it was not. Henry has been on the road for days or less between this game and the first, not enough time to really have a crisis of sexual orientation identity.
This shift to allowing same-sex relations just feels entirely out of left field and is not welcome. The series was originally meant to emphasize realistic behavior in how society was at the time and this change feels unnecessary.
I wish I came across those.
I wouldn’t mind some gay romance. Wasn’t rly hoping to come across it tho.
So far I rly like the game. Can’t wait to get to that part.
I’m a bit over 80hrs in, but taking it rly slowly. Some of my Henry’s skills are already max lvl and I don’t think I’m even close to getting to the 2nd map yet 😅
But some of the anti-woks probably have homoerotic fantasies themselves. The game doesn't hold any ♥♥♥♥♥ in front of their faces, but they still find some, suck on them and claim afterwards that the game is gay.
Maybe you think drugging someone and forcing yourselves on them is either funny or something the victim should apologize for, provided the victim is male.
You can't deny there's woke nonsense in the game, unless you think none of the above feels offensive to you.
We’re a minority and we’llprobably always will be. Unless there is a mass extinction and only 2 attractive gay men survive, only than the world will be safe from discrimination against us.
(What a dream come true 🤣🤣🤣)
We have to coexist and not live separately. Let’s be nice to each other, shall we?
Rly looking forward to Henry and Hans having a romance. They would be a nice couple, wouldn’t they? ❤️
Now I gotta play, play, play till I get to that point 💪🏻🤓👍🏻 (nerd-gaymer-mode activated)
OR adult movie 🤩
Instead of the plumber dropping by …
Life after, just a taste of liberty 🤣🤣🤣
I’m sry to be a little off track and got carried away 😅
Vivid imagination is crucial in gaming 💪🏻🤓👍🏻
In detailed aspects Chat GPT mentioned:
All two gay characters in the game are quite carton antagonists, with small agency (as any medieval person was). And they are obvious tokens, since KCD1. But stories are actually well crafted, so it's 50/50
There're no inclusive storyline and themes (which are concentrated around homosexuality exclusively)
The player could choose Jindřich to romance people of his sex, but the romance in the game is poor in general, so despite the choices are there - they are quite poor.
KCD community by some reason is poisoned with homophobes, racists, e.t.c.
