4D Troll Marketing?

Has anyone bothered to wonder why there's still only the original "leaked" screenshots of Musa? Musa has been "confirmed" by KCD2's lead Dev and yet nothing additional has been shown or seen. In fact, WH just released a Dev Stream of Sigismund's camp where they spoke at length about the ethnic makeup of the camp but there was no Musa seen nor mentioned. During the Stream, I scoured the map stills of Sigismund's camp and saw no obvious infirmary designation. However, there was a bath-house where the maids could heal wounds, but no Musa.

There has been no official word of a Saudi ban on KCD2, only a PlayStation store page screen-shot. Why not Xbox? Why not Steam? Why not GeForce? The only person who has mentioned Henry having a gay option is also the only person who talked about Musa, the same person who is notoriously obstinate and known for trolling: Dan Vavra.

Is it possible people did manufacture those Musa screenshots and Vavra saw people's unhinged reactions, just said "F*ck 'em", and went with it? Is it possible the gay rumors were started by bad actors wanting to sabotage the release of KCD2 and when Vavra saw people's hysterical reactions he just said "F*ck 'em" and went with it?

There are dozens, if not hundreds of review copies out there in the hands of non-journalists with little to lose. who have had hundreds of hours to scour the game. and leak whatever they want. NDA or not. Except, it's all only hearsay, only "trust me bro" posts.

What if this has all snowballed into "earned media" where outrage merchants have essentially made KCD2 more notoriously famous than millions of Euros could?

What if there is no Musa and no gay option?

Both are present. You won't be able to go into Sigismund's inner camp until late game and the dev Stream just didn't want to show that sort of content pre-release I guess.

Everytime a Dev said that it ended up being a ruin... They always think they're too big to fail, Dice said the exactly same sentence, and where are they now? Giving the game for free every now and then because noone is playing it.

I doubt that KCD2 will be unsuccessfull, it will be a great success on launch and then you'll see the biggest ego-fest coming from passive-aggressive fans and Vavra, but will it leave legacy as KCD1 did? You know it won't.

You cannot fight with customers, that's trading 101.

Have you played the game? Did you get a chance to analyze from an objective point of view whether the same-sex romance option and/or Musa's character have been implemented with genuine respect for the morals, social norms and challenges of the time?

Despite what some of you might say, I hate woke ♥♥♥♥ as much as you :) (maybe even more) I think that based on preview feedback and footage available pre-release, this looks like the most authentic medieval game to date (and for many years to come), the above things won't change that especially if they are approached correctly.

I really wish I could believe that, but I don't think that's the case.

In any case, there's not much time left before the release, and we'll find out in a few weeks.

I don’t care about the gay stuff that much, even though it’s stupid to retcon a previously straight character and make them bisexual, when they could’ve just made a new gay character. The problem is that there is no evidence that any black person has existed in 15th century bohemia. They could have made a character from a foreign place that’s actually believable and historically accurate, but it had to be a black guy to appease their overlords. (embracer)

Look, I'm not going to discuss conspiracy theories with you, I can't compete with tens of hours of click bait youtube garbage you probably watched. But at least learn what retconning is. I know it sounds good, but every instance of character development we don't agree with is not retconning.

Retconning (Retroactive Continuity): This is when a story changes previously established facts, often to fix plot holes, update outdated elements, or take the story in a new direction. For example, if a character who was originally written as dead is later revealed to have survived, that’s a retcon.

Character Development: This is when a character naturally grows or changes over time due to experiences in the story. For example, if a selfish character learns to be selfless through hardships, that’s character development.
