If there is master strike in this game I will immediately refund
It's in the title. if they ruin the combat like they did in KC1 with master strike, I won't pay.

There is but it works differently.

Firstly it's only with longswords. Secondly It's performed by attacking the opposite side as the opponent attacks, not just by pressing the counter button.

You can also avoid getting masterstruck by not attacking certain areas now too.

Can you be a master if no master skillz?

The combat looks a lot easier. Which is disappointing to me.

I don't think you will have time to get to that point and refund at the same time. Might want to watch some videos to see if it is instead of diving in yourseld

I'm not sure about polearms but shortswords definitely also have master strikes.

But the use of ranged weapons might be too easy now, because in one video I could see that there's a slow motion while aiming (even if it's just a perk or not).

Although I personally have no intention of getting a refund, it is bothersome that the intro for this game before you ever get to actual gameplay is described as being as long or longer than the Steam refund policy covers. I'm seeing this more and more with games and I think Steam should take that into account in their policy.

That's why I normally find it best practice to not play a game on launch day if you can help it, let reviewers and other players dip their toes in the water first. If there's any significant jank a lot of people find complaining almost as good as getting a refund.

In the old one everything could (not sure about polearms).

I am pretty certain they've said it's only longswrods in the sequel though.

Making master strikes a more rare occurrence essentially let's the player use the rest of the combat system. Actually being able to reliably use combos and so on.

I want so much to give this comment a thumbs up but Steam doesn't have that option. ;)

Combo's are easier to perform now but you also can't master strike through the entire game anymore, I can live with that compromise.

That's just on brand with the franchise. KCD's intro stretches from the moment you hit play to the moment you wake up in Rattay.

I have been trying to play hour or two here and there this week and I forgot how crazy combat is. I was at the windmill part of the quest and those 4 bandits beat me like a wet noodle. I know I beat them in the past all 4 of them. I must have been much better or just forgot everything. Was embarrassing!

Did you grind out training? First thing I do in a new game is spend an actual 8 IRL hour day training non stop until the sword in Henry's hand does what I want it to, or at least closely enough lol.

No I didn't I have not taken it as serious this time, thinking I was some Jedi Master and forgetting there was several missions I had to go train and grind out training and come back to back in 2018-19. Just because I think I can doesn't mean Henry can with his crappy armor and level 6 skills!

Exactly my experience on my second playthrough lol. Got beat 1v1 by a bandit and it hit me, this isn't a new game+.
