Well, I'm not straight in RL and it actually bothers me when movies, TV shows or games forcefully introduce sexual and ethnic diversity because otherwise they fear to get bashed (like KcD I got criticised for not being more diverse regarding ethnicities - by obviously dumb people).
It doesn't help to fight either, racism nor homophobia. In the contrary, I lived long enough to see how tolerance is in decline, especially with younger folks, starting from simplest things like how someone dresses.

And the little bit I read so far, including stupid battle mechanics to make things easier even for ultra casual gamers (a thing that made me lose trust and hope in video games in general, together with stupid quick time events) makes me want to cancle my pre-order for the gold edition as well. I was hyped, but I'm not paying 80€ in advance to then be bothered to the bone by a game that did everything wrong what they did right in the first game (after the rough and buggy start this means).

For some people, it simulates their desires even if for just a minute, and since self-flagellation is no longer tolerated as a means of purging their weird guilt, they come to the forum to complain instead.

Were you under the impression that gay people sprung into being in modern times? The first game also had gay people.
