I'm gonna dive in the filth here among all these hostile comments, but this should be said as much as possible. As I titled this discussion, it's your own choice. You can play the game as if the gay route doesn't even exist if you want to. If you go that route and are angry about it, it's your own fault. If you're angry about it even existing, well, you're just going to be a very unhappy person all your life if you can't learn to be happy not being able to control how everyone else lives or enjoys things.

Why is being a murdering psychopath okay, but being gay isn't? Both are completely optional choices in the game. Is Henry canonically a murdering psychopath? Is he canonically a blasphemer? Maybe it's up to the player to decide.

No a ton of them are looking at it as "because there is the option, the default is Bi". Personally my Henry is and will be a womanizer and Straight as hell.

so where's the choice to boink animals? people do that and yet it's not modeled as a choice for henry in the game. yet again these posts are missing the issue. the devs created the expectation with kcd1 lectures on social media; then did a 180 for kcd2 and lied about the reason. blame the devs for their lecturing re: "henry is straight; no africans in early 15th cent bohemia".

Yeah but we do not know the context of how the game handles it... For all we know "Gay Henry" gets caught committing sodomy and is either Castrated or Executed. It might have literally added this stuff as a "What if" situation to demonstrate what the consequences would be as a rebuttal to the backlash of number 1 not having any.

i considered the game modeling various punitives for henry if he decides to go with same-sex relationship, but as someone else here pointed out- if the devs did so, they'll likely be going against parent company directives. if they do so anyway, the woketards will flip out.

Henry is completely straight if you want him to be. Completely up to the player supposedly. Also I don't think anyone could say for sure whether a few black people visited Bohemia back then. Why not?
