And then I will probably lube my Hans, idk.
The choice for same sex behavior in this game is so trivialized it's similar to Henry going to the bath houses in the first game. Both are trivililized because they are seen as extensions of degenerate behavior. If the game actually allowed you to pursue this in a serious manner and promote it like we see with Assassin's Creed that would be different however KCD has always been a game where the Christian world-view is promoted through the behavior of it's virtuous characters. Johanka being the perfect example.
This is the most Christian game i have ever played. RDR2 had hints of it when you talk to the Nun and Brother to change your wicked ways and seek redemption which becomes the main goal at the end of the game. To right the wrongs of the past. To do good. This game however portrays the reality of late Medieval Bohemia and the world-view that shaped it. With Assassin's Creed you are given a medieval skin but all the characters behave in a way that is relatable to modern secular sensibilities to appeal to an audience that perceives this era as the dark ages.
"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law"- satanist Aleister Crowley. The most evil man to have lived in the last 200 years.
If you actually believe this was through Chat GPT I am impressed. I answered the question to make you understand the type of game KCD is. To put it mildly it's a Christian game that will only promote the Christian world-view as the right choice. This bias is evident in it's writing, narrative and portrayal of Characters in the world
If that's his point, then he is wrong. Whether intentionally to mislead you or not? Don't know - don't care. He's wrong.
Henry is an archetype: a White Christian heterosexual male on the Hero's Journey. See: Hero With 1000 Faces for reference.
It's not about "choice" - that is what they are trying to sell it as.
It is about subverting a strong White male Christian heterosexual archetype, because ultimately these people are Red Guards and this is a Struggle Session. White heterosexual males were dubbed "the enemy" and they retreated to gaming, where they made their own culture.
White heterosexual males - Christians in particular - are not to be permitted anything. Nothing to take pride in, nothing to rally behind or have as a role model... not even a fictional character in a historical setting in our own homelands.
Gay sex is not an option for straight people.
We don't get a dialogue line floating in our heads we have to actively refuse to speak when we talk to other men.
Being offered gay sex is not something that happens to us normally either.
If a character gets an option for gay sex - this character is not straight.
Exactly this. The things we do as Henry as little effect on the narrative. It's just for our own amusement similar to going on rampages in GTA. The game ultimately steers Henry toward the Chivalrous route which in the end is what we all want
so then dont
lol
