Anyone who buys a game blindly these days is willing to part with their money and they deserve to be disappointed.
Quite often it can be past the point of refund.
Therefore I have to research this matter before every purchase.
I will keep doing so.
That said, I do get enough games made in Japan and China to occupy myself with without the risk of gay ♥♥♥♥ being shoved in my face.
I am invested in kcd series because I loved the first one and it was the only western title that didn't feature DEI.
Elden Ring has DEI and it didn't ruin the game for you. Being outraged is a choice.
That's the neat part: it doesn't.
Player character is referred to as "he" or "she" according to the chosen sex.
Not a single poc.
Not a single gay sex scene.
Not even a single gay character - only mind control disguised as compassion.
How does any of those things ruin a video game for you? You let it bother you is all.
Apart of life is learning to live with people and thinks you don't agree with or like.
Pronouns are apart of all professional workplaces these days. If you don't use them it is discrimination against that person.
Idk about video games, but I've stopped watching TV series blind since watching The Last Of Us and a full episode was dedicated to an inconsequential gay relationship (complete with gay sex) where both characters introduced in that episode were killed by the writers at the end of it.
Last time I played games fully blind was when developers did not take ESG money from Black rock to insert political messaging into my video games. That's when.

You just ignored it, which is fine but it's very telling of your illogical stance.
Why is everyone here into these Blackrock Conspiracy Theories?
So you concede your earlier assertion of
"there is DEI in Elden Ring"
and instead move the goalposts to
"it doesnt matter if there is DEI or not, just turn off your brain and consoome!"
Its just a company. You people act like they rule the solar system.
