But I do not pay for wokeness. Therefore whether the game is later playable with mods or not, I wont support the devs with money for it either way.
"dEfInE wOkEnEsS"
just a joke.
i get your perspective.
it is a cancer and some collateral damage is acceptable to remove it, but as an individual, i VERY much enjoyed KCD1 and i wont mod-able things stand in the way of me having a good time. if everything is canceled when there´s only a slight hint of wokeness, then the brainvirus people - whose stated goal is to ruin everything for everyone - have won and no sane person wants that.
also - as said- this very much looks like a drag queen failguard psy-op to me, thus giving it a couple of weeks to receive spoiler free trustworthy analysis is the winning move.
at the end of the day, there is no 100/100 perfect game for every single person. the only question is whether or not you´re willing pay the asking price, which might be significantly lower when only getting a cd key and/or waiting.
looking at kcd1s stats, it simply takes a couple of years in a very saturated market for the price to drop below half a decent burger. so that´s a good deal when talking about 100+++ hours of quality gaming time.
anyway, i´m back to jagged alliance 1. 1996 was such a good year
165h in, barely started the main mission on map 2 (but completed pretty much all available sidequests)
i dont mind the gay romance option.
however the black bartosch gay sex option is just about as bad as it can get. the only to upgrade its slapped-on awfulness is if the guy would berate the player for not choosing it (failguard style).
modding those (obviously) investor-demand late additions out would be important. that said, since i´ve seen it, even modding it out would crash immersion.
so yeah, after having played it, it´s actually FAR worse than turning down some gay pathfinder (to stick with the example) character (but not as bad as failguard (tough s...-stain to beat tho)).
something-something of mali... only did the first speech options and the "tour". absolutely awful writing, so it´s not that simple to just change the skin color. to fix this one would´ve to replace all dialog + voicelines.
no idea how this would affect the mainquest - but it doesnt matter - kill-ability should´ve been there. instead this (so far competely ignorable side-npc) doesnt act in the slightest when one butchers sigismund whole camp (including civilians), but why would he? according to sword-strike, this "mfer isnt even real".
i just hope warhorse made enough money to release a directors cut (hopefully one that also comes as a collectors edition, but with a hans-statue (no gay stuff)), that removes "all" this investor-demanded brainvirus slop.
there isnt much of this modern-audience content, but it existing drags the whole game down, thus removing any chance of being a masterpiece (in my opinion).
was adding this garbage worth the extra cash-injection to make this game big?
probably sadly yes (as most of what i´ve seen is pure cinema), but luckily this ideology is on its way out the door and with it hopefully all the concordian employees.
anyway, 95%(+) of the game is so enjoyable (at least for me) that mods arent required.
that said, i have the collectors edition, thus i´d simply put the statue up for sale and be in the green, while i had a great time (most of the time).
checking for non-woxus mods... computer says no <.<
I'm sick and tired of idiots.
